Wii U Sales Numbers Continue To Suffer

As if more bad news couldn’t come out of Nintendo. Nintendo of Japan has just released sales numbers for the Wii U Between April and June, and its not looking good. Worldwide the Wii U has shipped 160k in the course of 3 months compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 which ship 100k+ in 1 month time period. Divided into the 3 regions Wii U has sold 90k in Japan, 60k in North America, and 10k in other territories.

Nintendo emphasizes that they had a fewer key titles at the time and that’s why sales have been low.  Hopefully this holiday season, sales will pick up for Nintendo as they struggle now to get their next wave of franchises out there.

Hey guys! I’m Jose the second half of Dual Pixels and your host of our Dual Pixels Podcast. I enjoy fighters more than any other genre because I grew up playing them when I was a wee-lad; literally Street Fighter 2 and a tall chair . Overall though, my top favorite games include Street Fighter 3rd Strike (Best game ever, obviously), Super Mario World (sorry folks it was better than part 3), and Super Ghouls and Ghost. I like a mix of everything just as long as a game has something unique or fun about it; and people, let’s not forget about the classics!
