Microsoft Acquires Rights to Gears of War

Microsoft has announced that they have officially acquired the rights to Gears of War, this includes all existing and and future games. Microsoft also announced their studio Black Tusk will be working on the next installment to the Gears of War series. Phil Spencer Microsoft Studio Corporate Vice President has stated:

“The thing we showed at E3 last year, it was something that was done in Unreal and more of a concept piece”

Black Tusk Studios is set to develop Gears of War, and the concept is now scraped. We will find out more once it becomes available.

Hey guys! I’m Jose the second half of Dual Pixels and your host of our Dual Pixels Podcast. I enjoy fighters more than any other genre because I grew up playing them when I was a wee-lad; literally Street Fighter 2 and a tall chair . Overall though, my top favorite games include Street Fighter 3rd Strike (Best game ever, obviously), Super Mario World (sorry folks it was better than part 3), and Super Ghouls and Ghost. I like a mix of everything just as long as a game has something unique or fun about it; and people, let’s not forget about the classics!
