Anthony Pettis Vs. Jose Aldo Gameplay | EA Sports UFC

We’ve heard a lot about EA Sports UFC, but until today, we haven’t actually seen the game in motion. EA has just released a clip with one round of Anthony Pettis vs. Jose Aldo, and it’s quite spectacular. The game looks incredibly fluid and dynamic, very closely mimicking an actual UFC fight. Fighters finally move around the Octagon instead of skate around it, and the visuals are insanely accurate. The commentary is surprisingly strong, but as with most sports commentary, it will probably get old sooner rather than later. Having said that, I love Rogan’s enthusiasm that comes through in the game. As great as the game is shaping up to be, there were a few oddities in the gameplay release today. There seems to be a lack of impact on certain kicks and punches, such as the head kick and Superman Punch. When landed in the Octagon, they almost always draw blood and rock the opponent, yet in the clip it was simply shrugged off. The speed does seem a little bit fast, but it’s hard to determine since we haven’t seen any other gameplay clips from other weight classes. I would also have loved to see more of the ground game. The only aspect of the ground game shown was in the opponent’s guard, no transitions and no submission attempts. We shall soon see the game in its entirety as it’s set for release on June 17 for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
