Gamescom 2014: Special Gala MGS V Preview on August 13th

With Gamescom only a few short weeks from now it is no surprise that hype generating announcements have begun to be issued forth. Today, Konami announced that they would be hosting an exclusive Gala preview of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain hosted by none other than Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima on August 13th at 8 pm Central European Time, in Cologne and online on Konami’s Twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/KONAMI). We will be seeing some undoubtedly gorgeous gameplay, but the most pressing question on this writer’s mind is not finding out all of the nifty things I can Fulton into my service, but when I can do so.

Mr. Kojima is notorious for drip feeding information to gamers for years before he lets us know when we can actually play his oddball works of genius and MGS:V is no different, but we have waited, many of us that didn’t indulge in the PSP entries, since 2008, for the next entry. The game’s E3 presentation, which I’ve embedded below, has shown us everything that we need to see in order for us to simply want to play the game.

It’s time for a release date.

While I've traveled the world since the tender age of 6 I have never been far from the world of video games. I currently live in the Netherlands and aim to provide an international perspective on gaming culture to the ravenous audience of Dual Pixels. My favorite genres are first or third person action-adventures and western role playing games. That being said, I play everything I can on my PS4 and PS Vita.
