Sony and Kojima Announce Partnership

Earlier we reported that Kojima had officially left Konami and that there were talks between the Metal Gear Solid producer and Sony. Just now it looks like a deal has been struck with the fledgeling studio and the Playstation manufacturer. The first game from Kojima’s new studio, Kojima Productions, will be console exclusive to the Playstation platform. It will be a brand-new intellectual property. Due to the wording, it’s quite possible that the IP could also see release on PC, handheld, and/or mobile devices.

You can check out Andrew House’s video on the partnership as well.

Rob Hernandez

Rob's been gaming since he was a wee lad. It all started with a NES, and a Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo cart one Christmas morning. Since then, he's been an avid lover of all things video. He also likes comics, manga, movies, long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and dogs. Rob is also quite adept at speaking in the third person.
