Playstation VR Launching In October Starting At $399

Its official Sony has revealed quite a bit of info over at GDC. Expect Playstation VR to launch this October for $399, here’s what included in the box.

Playstation VR still needs the Playstation Camera to fully operate and will not be included with the unit at launch. Sony is indeed planning bundles for Playstation VR to get the full experience if you don’t have camera. No other details on the pricing for that have been revealed. Sony has about 230 developers creating content for Playstation VR including EA DICE which will be developing Star Wars Battlefront exclusively for the Playstation VR.

If you want to play your old titles in VR Sony has got that covered with their virtual cinema mode that lets you play your games and view movies as if you were watching them on a 100ft screen. Another bonus to video playing Sony will be updating their media player to give you full 360 views for your personal photos and movies.  Check out the games in the trailer below and get ready to pre-order as several retailers will start taking orders tomorrow.

Hey guys! I’m Jose the second half of Dual Pixels and your host of our Dual Pixels Podcast. I enjoy fighters more than any other genre because I grew up playing them when I was a wee-lad; literally Street Fighter 2 and a tall chair . Overall though, my top favorite games include Street Fighter 3rd Strike (Best game ever, obviously), Super Mario World (sorry folks it was better than part 3), and Super Ghouls and Ghost. I like a mix of everything just as long as a game has something unique or fun about it; and people, let’s not forget about the classics!
