This Is What Super Mario Football Would Look Like

Reddit user  -SyBro wants you to take a look a look at a concept he put together which involves American Football and the cast of Mario. Here’s a bit on his take on Super Mario Football , he also provided screenshots to demonstrate.

I feel like the Mario Franchise is in that unique position where it can make virtually any sport accessible to a wide range of demographics. It kinda breaks my heart to see those sports go to waste as part of the wii sports mix, or as a mindless minigame in Mario Party.

“So this is what I’m thinking of:

you have Nintendo’s Star Characters starring as Quarterbacks, each with their unique skillshot, kinda like in Power Tennis. They’d have limited uses and activate like the power shot in strikers?

  • I’m thinking of a Burning Bullet Pass for Mario, which can shove, like, one opponent out of its way to get to the receiver.
  • Bowser Jr. could use his Clown Car ejection as in his ‘Up B’ form SSB, to avoid getting sacked and to be able to place a clean shot from above.
  • then you have the Wall-Luigi to block a path for your Running Back, Warios fart for Pocket Presence, Diddy Kong’s banana-curved throw, …”

You can check out the full details over at Reddit, and what do you think can Mario and Football really mix? Hit us back with your thoughts.

Hey guys! I’m Jose the second half of Dual Pixels and your host of our Dual Pixels Podcast. I enjoy fighters more than any other genre because I grew up playing them when I was a wee-lad; literally Street Fighter 2 and a tall chair . Overall though, my top favorite games include Street Fighter 3rd Strike (Best game ever, obviously), Super Mario World (sorry folks it was better than part 3), and Super Ghouls and Ghost. I like a mix of everything just as long as a game has something unique or fun about it; and people, let’s not forget about the classics!

You have a typo in your little bio thing. “Super Mario World (sorry folks its was better then part 3)” Then should be than.

Hope that helps, and interesting concept for Mario Football. I don’t think I would want to play it, but then again I didn’t think that about the golf and love it on 3DS.
