Return to Ivalice | Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Trailer

Final Fantasy XII is getting the remaster treatment with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The game is scheduled to be released during 2017 for the PS4. Originally, FFXII was released on the PS2 in North America in 2006. An updated version was released in Japan in 2007 known as the International Zodiac Job System. This version added a tweaked battle system, a new job board containing twelve different layouts over the original’s one, as well as features found in the North American release. The Zodiac Age will take it’s basis off the International Zodiac version and add more features on-top of that. There will also be shorter load times, a button to increase the game’s speed, and an autosave feature.

The visuals will be upgraded; backgrounds, character models and 2D assets will see a jump in resolution. Pre-rendered movies are also in a higher resolution. And for those people who enjoy the option there will be two selectable language tracks, Japanese and English. Even the music will have more options, the original PS2 versions as well as updated soundtrack. The game will be outputting in 7.1 surround sound.

The game will retail for $49.99 and be release in 2017 for the Playstation 4.
