Nintendo Announces That It Will Sell Wii U At A Loss

Nintendo has announced that it will be selling it’s upcoming console on it’s November 18th debut, Wii U, at a loss. This was ironically announced after todays earlier statement that the Nintendo 3DS is not selling as many units as Nintendo had previously predicted in the west.

Annual sales of Nintendo’s flagship 3DS handheld player, introduced last year, will be 17.5 million units, 5.4 percent lower than previously estimated, the company said in a statement today. Nintendo also lowered its forecast for 3DS software sales 4.1 percent and said it will sell its new Wii U model at a loss.
