PS4 Goes Beyond Power, Full Specs From Sony

Wow. Today was like a dream, PS4 was finally announced and we got to see the console in action. At its core, the new PlayStation 4 is a PC; this has allowed developers to fully embrace the console without any technical rifts that occurred with PS3 due to the learning curve of development. The console was born with developers in mind — because they make the games, don’t they? As a gaming console, PS4 supports PC hardware that hasn’t even been conceived on a wide scale amongst the PC community. 8GB of unified DDR5 memory? Sony isn’t playing any games. If you’re not the biggest of tech geeks, that given fact about PS4’s memory gives us ease of mind, and then some, when it comes to the longevity of the console. Not the mention the processing power of the GPU benchmarks at 1.84 Teraflops in the form of AMD’s next-generation Radeon™ based graphics engine.

Today we seen a PlayStation tradition; cutting edge technology and games, games, games!
