All You Need To Know E3 2013: Pokemon X & Y

The official launch date for Pokemon X & Y has been announced, and that date will be October 12th, 2013. This was announced during an E3 Nintendo Direct, along with new information about the new Pokemon type, and screenshots in the trailer. Pokemon X & Y will be introducing a new Pokemon type, dubbed Fairy.

They described Sylveon as an “intertwining Pokemon that can manipulate its ribbonlike feelers at will and can emit from them an aura that can calm people and other Pokemon”. Along with this announcement, a new Pokemon of the Sound Wave family and Bug-Flying type Pokemon were introduced, named Noivern (Sound wave) and Vivillon.

There is also a new feature named Pokemon-Amie, which allows you to take care of your Pokemon on the touchscreen of the 3DS. Things like petting and feeding your Pokemon will strengthen the bond between you and your Pokemon, and will in turn helps you in future battles.
