Shuhei Yoshida: PlayStation 4 Upscaler Hardware Based

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, has confirmed via a Twitter conversation that the game upscaler of the PlayStation 4 is hardware based. The upscaler is when a game has a different native resolution and gets changed to 1080p, or in the PS4’s case, also to 4K.
