All Your Entertainment? Xbox One Can’t Play Recordable Blu-ray

After British news source HDTVTest attempted to run a test disk on the Xbox one, a shocking discovery was made. The Microsoft Xbox one does not play Plu-ray movie (BDMV) content from recordable BD-R discs. Both single and dual layer disks were attempted to use as well as different brands. Despite the variety of attempts, the disks failed to load. This is not due to the disk drive, but is a limitation that is designed in the software.

The Blu-Ray player on the new Microsoft Xbox One console will only support mastered Blu-ray disks and DVDs.
