Major Nelson Demos Twitch Streaming On Xbox One

Today Major Nelson took the time to preview a new feature coming to Xbox One, Twitch.TV — the streaming portion of it. At launch Xbox One didn’t support streaming directly from the device but that has changed in this Spring update which is scheduled to arrive this month. Streaming on Xbox One also looks to be a bit sweeter as one reddit user analyzed the output from Major Nelson’s Xbox One where he found that Xbox One outputs 1280 x 720p footage in comparison to PS4’s 960 x 540p; both consoles, however, stream at 30fps. Xbox One’s Twitch streaming also lets users archive footage on their accounts which isn’t offically supported on PS4 although some users claim they’re able to get it to work.
