“A New Beginning” Life Is Strange Dev Diary

Dontnod, the devs behind the cult hit Remember Me, is giving us a peek behind the curtain of their latest game, Life Is Strange. Life Is Strange is an episodic game that deals heavily in making your choices and actions matter. The first trailer, and this subsequent Dev Diary, goes through various characters, themes, and story bits you’ll go through during the game. The whole idea of choice being an integral part of the gameplay is a theme that is often pushed aside for the more action-y frenetic pace, but Life Is Strange looks to find that perfect in between of having a strong story with actual user-input affecting it. While Life Is Strange is quite a departure from Remember Me, they are creating a story based around time travel, with key elements of rewinding time to alter certain past events with a time loop and real consequences to your actions. it’s hard to wait until the end of the month to play this game.
