Smash Bros. Coming This Year Makes A Statement To End The Nintendo Direct

There are few games in Nintendo’s stable that stir up a frenzy as much as Smash Bros, and the uproar after the slightest tease of a new Smash at Nintendo’s Direct emphasizes that statement. It’s almost wrong to call it a tease, since we literally got the Smash logo; although, it was sneakily shown off via the Inklings from Nintendo’s Splatoon franchise.

It is safe to assume that many characters will be returning, but it did look like Link was the one from Breath of The Wild. The one major detail they did reveal is that it is coming out this year! An E3 blowout is almost a certainty, and I’d imagine this would be a perfect game to bolster the Switch lineup through the holiday season.
