Marvel’s Spider-Man Breaks Record Becomes Highest Selling Playstation Exclusive

Marvel’s Spider-Man is taking the crown for the highest selling Playstation Exclusive Ever. Insomniac Games and Marvel’s Spider-Man has had a spectacular first three days of sale at 3.3 million edging out Sony’s other exclusive title God of War that sold 3.1 million which came out earlier this year.

That figure does not include the limited edition Playstation 4 bundle which does include the game for $399.99, which makes this feat even more amazing. Another record was broken by Spider-Man as it became the highest pre-ordered Sony title of all time.

Stephen Turvey,  PlayStation’s global senior vice president of sales and head of North America business operations stated: “Our expectations are always set at the highest levels, While Spider-Man has had a rocky history with video games in the past, Turvey credits developer Insomniac Games and Marvel with “bringing Spider-Man back to gaming in a way that you want to experience it.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man success is well deserved garnering great praise by our very own staff, which you can check out the review.  Marvel’s Spider-Man story will continue on later this year with the first of its downloadable content titled” The City That Never Sleeps.” launching October 23rd. The first story pack involves the popular Felicia Hardy also known as The Black Cat. Players can expect additional costumes making there way into these story pack and other surprises.
