Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer
Rockstar has just released the launch trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2. In it, we see Arthur Morgan attempting to “go legit” as he is continually egged on to committing one last “big score.” Outside of a short sound byte of John Marston, there isn’t really anything new here. Surely, it does add to the already enormous hype the title has generated; I was just hoping, although not expecting, for some juicy new tidbits to be revealed. Alas, that is never Rockstar’s MO.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 25 for PS4 and Xbox One. Assuming RDR2 follows along the general path of GTAV, its online component will be arriving a couple months after launch, and I think it’s safe to assume that we will eventually get a PC version a year or so out. Of course, there hasn’t been any leaks or PR saying this would be the case; it would just be shocking for Rockstar not to capitalize on the massive audience. That is, especially after seeing the success GTAV has had on Steam. As for Red Dead Online, it is still being developed and will release shortly after launch. GTA Online released about two weeks after GTAV’s launch, and RDR2 is following along that projected time frame and will release sometime in November. Interestingly enough, when it does release, Rockstar has said that it will be a in a “public beta” state.
