PlayStation 5 Event Set for June 4th
Update: Sony has postponed the event. Details below from their twitter account.
Sony has finally let the cat out the bag, as they have announced their first PlayStation 5 event. On June 4th Sony is showing off the games we will be seeing on PlayStation 5 spanning over a hour worth of footage and details.
Sony says this will be the first of many updates they will be sharing, and there will be many more beyond this presentation. We are still unsure if we will see the actual console at this event but we are starting to see the gates open. A statement from Jim Ryan PlayStation CEO mentioning about PS5 titles makes (Which can be seen below.) us very excited to see what Sony has to offer.
“We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features.
“We do believe in generations, and whether it’s the DualSense controller, whether it’s the 3D audio, whether it’s the multiple ways that the SSD can be used… we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, something different, that can really only be enjoyed on PS5.”
The PlayStation 5 event will be air on June 4th at 1pm PDT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST on PlayStation’s Youtube and Twitch Channels. For a more detailed interview with Jim Ryan CEO of PlayStation you can go over to Gameindustry.biz
