Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Reveal Trailer and Screens
There were few games that could push me to dropping a still unknown amount of cash for the PS5 Day One, but it just so happens that a new Ratchet & Clank would do the trick. Luckily for me, but not so much my wallet, Sony revealed Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart during their PS5 system reveal, and it looked absolutely stunning. Personally, it was the game of the show, and that is saying something because it was a solid showcase all around.
Ratchet & Clank has been one of those mainstay franchises for developer Insomniac. During the PS2 and PS3 eras, they pumped out quality game after quality game with all the core titles reviewing exceedingly well. That fact makes it all the more strange that the only Ratchet & Clank title available on PS4 is a reimagining of the original game. After the highly lauded A Crack In Time on PS3, the thirst was there for a full-fledged mainline title, but that never came to fruition on PS4. That idea is most likely due to Insomniac being a tad busy with that little title known as Spider-Man. Well, Ratchet & Clank is back, and it looks better than ever. The question always must be asked; are we finally seeing Pixar quality in a video game?
Check out the screens below to make that decision for yourself.
