Star Wars: Squadrons Revealed + More Details
EA is not done with the Star Wars Franchise just yet. After coming out with the critically acclaimed Fallen Order, EA is taking you directly into another side of the Star Wars universe. That’s right, Star Wars: Squadrons has you becoming a pilot in first person. The title is set after the events of Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars: Squadrons is developed by Motive Studios. Squadrons will have both single and multiplayer modes; all of the multiplayer is cross-play, meaning you can play with your friends across platforms. Multiplayer in Squadrons has you playing 5v5 with two game modes currently announced. Fleet Battles, which has you destroying the opposing team’s Flagship. The other mode is your typical dog-fighting team death match mode. Locations are still unknown, but expect to see classic locations from the franchise and some unique to the game.
You will get upgrades when playing through Star Wars: Squadrons to upgrade your weapons, engines, shields and more, including the look of your ship and pilot. VR on the PS4 and PC versions of the title will be available at launch.
Star Wars: Squadrons is scheduled to launch October 2nd for $39.99 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
