Halo Infinite Multiplayer Free-to-Play and 120 FPS On The Xbox Series X

Microsoft has confirmed the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite will be free-to-play. There was speculation regarding a listing that leaked from Smyths Toys Superstores which had the posting a week ago but quickly removed it. The listing stated:

“The legendary Halo series returns with the most expansive Master Chief campaign yet and a groundbreaking free-to-play multiplayer experience,” read the listing. “Enjoy up to 120 FPS and greatly reduced load times creating seamless gameplay with Xbox Series X.”

This was also the first mention that Halo Infinite would run at 120FPS. Microsoft has confirmed that information through the Halo twitter as it will indeed be free-to-play and 120FPS.

This is great news for new and old players to enjoy the multiplayer with no charge of entry. With the proof of financial and critical success of Warzone and other f2p multiplayer shooters, a f2p Halo is brimming with potential. With Halo already being a massive franchise, this change could alter the landscape of any future multiplayer offerings from any deliver. More details will be shared soon from 343 Industries regarding the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite.
