Halo Infinite Delayed to 2021

Microsoft has delayed long awaited sequel, Halo Infinite, until 2021. The delay is due to developmental challenges. Halo Infinite was slated to release for the launch of the Xbox Series X, and also be available on the Xbox One and PC. Microsoft has stated that the Xbox Series X is still set to launch this November. Gamepass and backwards compatibility will be important features to bolster the small number of launch titles with Halo’s delay.

343 Industries put out a statement on twitter to all the fans regarding the delays. The difficult decision was made due to it not being ready in time to hit the Halo experience.

With Halo Infinite moving to 2021, Xbox Series X currently doesn’t have that flagship title we have been waiting for, but the delay should provide for a better Halo experience with additional time to further develop the game after a lackluster showcase last month.
