Amazon Reveals Luna, A New Cloud Gaming Platform

Amazon has announced it’s stepping into the ring in a big way in the form of cloud gaming. Luna which is Amazon new cloud gaming platform bringing you games without having to purchase a console and all you need is a controller, a subscription to the service, and a high-speed internet connection. Luna service will start at $5.99 per month during its early access stages and its controller will cost $49.99. You can access Luna from your Fire TV, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS.

While you can get a Luna controller, You can play with the Luna Controller, Xbox One controller, DualShock 4 controller, or use a mouse and keyboard.. More importantly, you will see a bevy of titles releasing with Luna with about 100 titles releasing in early access. Some of those titles include hits like Resident Evil 7, Control, Tacoma, Rez Infinite, Metro Exodus, The Sexy Brutale, Overcooked! 2. Content such as Ubisoft titles will have there own channel in which you can subscribe and play all the Ubi games this includes Assassins Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and more the same day they release at a single price.

Twitch will also play a big part in Luna with full integration. Twitch viewers will be able to tell if you’re playing the game on Luna and with a click of a link, those viewers would be able to jump into that same game as long as they’re a Luna subscriber. Luna will also support 1080p and 60fps and 4K 60FPS is coming real soon. For 1080p gaming, Amazon recommends internet speeds of at least 10 Mbps, and for 4K, it’s 35 Mbps. You can sign-up for Luna Early Access via Amazon as invites will be rolling out soon.
