It’s time to suit up and gear up for May 2015, especially if you are in the greater NYC/PA/NJ Area. Â It is at this time that Atlantic City, a popular, classy city right on the edges of The Atlantic Ocean, will host a comic-con for the first time in its history. The convention is a first for the city, known for its concert venues and fancy casino games. Behind this has been a large, diverse art culture that thrives within the city. Â The convention plans to run for several days and feature a huge venue for all corners of geekdom from celebrity appearances to special booths and to exclusive content.
The City is known for its world-famous boardwalk with hundreds of eateries and shops. The beaches are soft and the waters are always inviting. The biggest part of this city are the lavish casinos that line the boardwalk. From The Tropicana to Caesar’s Palace and even The Golden Nugget. City officials, though, have been fighting for the city and its growth, offering different entertainment venues outside of just concerts and casinos. This new convention not only promises to bring visitors but also a very unique and interesting array of geek culture to one of the most well-known cities in the world. South Jersey has seen this interesting hub of video games, board game, movies, and nerd culture that runs from Cape May, NJ to Rowan University in Glassboro to The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona, NJ. THis will sure to be a hell fo a show.
As of right now, city officials are negotiating events, celebrities, companies, and who and what will be there. With Avatar 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Star Wars Episode VII slated for release, it is more than enough to look forward to this convention and what wonder can be unveiled.
