Bethesda has officially joined Team Xbox. Today the acquisition has completed for the ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Microsoft welcomes eight new game studios Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse Studios. Each with their own successful IP such as Doom, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and many more.
This is a very exciting day for Microsoft as they are look to curate more experiences from their leading First Party Studios. With Zenimax Media joining Microsoft you can expect more of these titles to join XboxGame Pass as it will be the best way to experience Bethesda titles. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer had a few things to say regarding the Xbox joining Microsoft Game Studios.
This is the next step in building an industry-leading first party studios team, a commitment we have to our Xbox community. With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.
