Arrow has been teasing a new archer, Prometheus, so far this season, and we are still no closer to knowing who he is and what his problem is with the Green Arrow. Tobias Church is still the main focus, and now he has Rene aka Wild Dog. The team must work together to save Rene and stop Church from enacting his plan.

While Oliver was gone, Rene was captured by Tobias Church. Church decided not to kill him right away and to torture him instead. Rene is having trouble, but he does ask a crucial question. Why does Church want Star City? He was doing just fine taking over Bludhaven and Hub City, so why come to Star City? Church thinks that Rene will be dead soon and actually divulges some of his plan. He wants Star City because of its ports. He plans to expand his empire and move tons of drugs through the docks.

Just as the team catches up with Rene, he’s digging his own grave while Church and his men watch on. Oliver gets there in the knick of time and takes out Church’s men. Church runs away because he already got what he wanted. As much as Rene wanted to hold out, there’s only so much torture someone can take. He felt completely guilty, but he told Church the identity of the Green Arrow. Church knows Oliver’s secret.

Now, Church is not only after the Green Arrow, but he realizes it may be easier to just attack the mayor. He actually hires a masked vigilante to assassinate Mayor Queen, but the Arrow team has an ace up their sleeve. John Diggle came back to help. He realizes that he could be doing good as Spartan and suits up once again. Now to outsmart Church, Diggle calls on an old friend.

Oliver goes through his duties as mayor as he would any other day, but when he leaves the office he’s gunned down by Church’s masked man. I assumed that this was planned, but boy did they make it look good. Lance announced Oliver’s death, but of course, we see that Oliver is alive and well and in the Arrow cave. And in walks… Oliver. Wait, what? It turns out that Diggle’s contact is Christopher Chance. They call him the Human Target. Chance uses highly convincing masks to transform himself into the target. He was the one pretending to be Oliver all day.

Now that Church thinks he has the Green Arrow out of the picture, he can enact his plan to expand his drug empire. The new Team Arrow, along with Spartan, show up at the docks to take down Church and his contacts. Finally, Church is in custody. As he’s being taken away, Church is terrified, and he had good reason to be. Prometheus comes to attack Church. He’s pissed that Church went after the Green Arrow again. To save himself, Church gives up Oliver’s secret once again. Prometheus thanked Church for the information but killed him anyway.

The flashbacks so far this year have been showing us just how Oliver became Bratva. Even though he’s officially part of the brotherhood, his new brothers are not as welcoming as he would have hoped. Oliver says all the right things and does just what Anatoly tells him, but he still has a target on his back. Viktor pretends to have Oliver’s back but really wants him dead. Viktor planned to have some of his goons give Oliver a beat down, when some guy comes out of nowhere and kills Viktor’s men. Unbeknownst to Oliver, that man was the human target himself, Christopher Chance. Oliver is highly confused and wonders what he got himself into, until next week, where the Bratva adventures continue.

We had a couple of interesting interactions this week on Arrow. While Chance was pretending to be Oliver, he sat down with Susan Williams to try and get her on his side. Since she has done nothing but attack him in the media, Chance as Oliver asks for a month of no bad press, and if he doesn’t get her on his side then he’s fair game. She also gave him her personal cell number, so she’s not immune to his charm.

Chance also had a run-in with Felicity’s new boyfriend, Billy Malone. Malone just joined the Anti Crime Unit (ACU) and wanted to introduce himself to Oliver. Chance relayed this information, and Oliver was shocked and probably a little heartbroken. Oliver confronted Felicity and was hurt that she wouldn’t tell him about Malone. She wanted to wait until it was real, and she’s still not sure. Oliver assures her that she needs to find out if this relationship could be the real deal, and Oliver needs to move forward as well. I’m a little sad that Olicity is moving further and further away from happening again.

WHAT IS DUAL PIXELS?

Dual Pixels is more than just an organization, it's a culture. The interactive arts are our passion, this includes gaming and innovations brought forward with technology. The beauty of being an independent organization is the fact that we have the opportunity to bring back the enthusiasm in a gaming industry which is becoming increasingly corporate and stale. The Dual Pixels brand is full of perspective hence the reason why we also go by the appellation "The Digital Crossover".
