Dying Light, the first-person parkour-zombie survival game by Techland, is set to grace our consoles (and PC) on January 27. This news comes as a surprise, considering the last we heard was that there was a delay until some time in February 2015.
Dying Light is differentiating itself from other zombie games, especially Techlands’ own Dead Island franchise, by introducing a Natural Movement system. The Natural Movement system was created in house by Techland to mimic the movements of parkour, while being chased by zombies of course. Thus, allowing the player the ability to traverse various obstacles to aid in their survival. Having played the game at E3, it’s safe to say that they have seemingly nailed that aspect of the game. It had me reliving my days of playing Mirror’s Edge, but with better combat.
We’ve covered the game quite extensively with previews and interviews, so you can check those out below.
