After many months of speculation, Game Freak has officially unveiled Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. The new title will be a re-telling of Pokémon Yellow with a twist.
Catching Pokémon will be similar to that of Pokémon GO. Trainers will physically throw Pokéballs at Pokémon to catch them in a similar manner to GO. The game will be able to be played with just one JoyCon which will also allow for Co-Op. Gone are the wild battles of the old games, but trainer battles are still in the game. Pikachu and Eevee will be customizable for the PokéFashionistas.
In addition, there will be connectivity with the Pokémon Go app. Allowing trainers to transfer Pokémon and gifts between the two versions.
There will also be a special peripheral that will work with Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee; the Pokéball Pro. It will act as a JoyCon allowing players to control the game, and it will also transfer Pokémon to it to allow trainers to carry their favorite Pocket Monsters around with them. The Pokéball Pro will retail at $50.
And finally, to those who are itching for a regular Pokémon game, The official Pokémon Twitter has stated that the game announced at last year’s E3 is still coming but will be released in the second half of 2019.
Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, along with the Pokéball Pro, will be released on November 16th for the Nintendo Switch.
