Normal has just revealed their announcement trailer of Nock, an upcoming multiplayer title coming to the Quest family of devices.
Like many of you, I jumped into VR with the Quest 2 during the holiday season. Grabbing various games from the Oculus store and via sideloading, one thing always remained true: The bow and arrow motion always feels great in any VR game. It is one of the most natural motions that translates superbly to VR. But Normal puts a spin on your typical Robin Hood Fantasy, tosses it into an arena, and mixes in inspiration from Rocket League. Yes… that Rocket League.
Nock is a 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 game where you use your archery skills to launch a ball into a goal. It looks like there might be some power-ups of sorts since, at one point in the trailer, a player shoots an arrow, and it turns into a block before it hits the ball. If this is even half as addicting as Rocket League, we are in for a treat.
As with any game in VR, it’s hard to say how it feels to play. One thing that is apparent, however, is how great it’s aesthetic is. Much like their previous VR title, Half + Half, the game just has straight up vibes.
There isn’t a release date for Nock, but we’ll keep you posted as details arrive.
