Originally released in 1982 by Gottlieb, Q*Bert is an arcade game that falls along the timeless greats suchas Pacman, Galaga, and Frogger. It’s simple, charming, fun, and timelessly challenging which are attributes that continue to draw in players. Known for its unique gameplay and anxenometic visuals style, the game made quite the impact. Q*Bert came back from time to time and even had a solid appearance in Disney’s 2012 Award-winning animated film, Wreck-It Ralph. Â Today, announced on the PS Blog, Q*Bert is back for new audiences.
Q*Bert Rebooted is the heartfelt efforts of three entities: LOOT Entertainment, Gonzo Games, and Sideline Amusements. Together, and with great care from SONY Consumer Products, they are bringing back the original game to all of Son’y platforms with another, big, modern take on Q*Bert as well. In other words, both the classic and newer take on Q*Bert will be bundled together for one price. The classic will feature the same look, feel, and gameplay known from the 80’s while Rebooted brings in a modern take, including multiple characters, hexagonal steps, new music, and different views.
Q*Bert Rebooted doesn’t have a release date but it is coming soon. Check out the PS Blog for more updates.
