Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was the first game shown during DC Fandome. Unlike last year, we got a good look at the rest of the justice League including:
- John Stewart
- Wonder Woman
- Flash
- Superman
With a vague release date of 2022, the game is clearly going to either be released in Q4 of 2022, or potentially get pushed to 2023. The fact that we didn’t see any gameplay also hints at a very late 2022 release date.
As per the trailer, it is as chaotic as you can imagine. We get glimpses of why the Suicide Squad might be working to take down the Justice League, and it looks to revolve around Brainiac.
One thing I didn’t expect to see were other villains on display. The bit with Penguin was a great showcase that as dire as everything looks for the squad, the game will certainly provide some comedic moments.
Since there was no gameplay shown, we didn’t get a look at how the combat or gear system works. There is the fear that the GaaS implementation could bog down the title as it did for sections of Marvel’s Avengers. It’s a bit too soon to worry about that, and Rocksteady is as solid as they come.
