Idea Factory has revealed the first of their series of character trailers for visual-novel title, Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation. The trailer introduces the “innocent girl with a  strong moral code,” Tohka Yatogami.

Tohka is described on the official site as: “…the first Spirit that Shido encounters and saves. Bright and formal, she is innocent and carries a strong moral code. By Ratatoskr’s arrangement, she is now Shido’s classmate. She has a mean appetite. In particular, she’s weak to kinako bread and Shido’s handmade food. It seems that she hopelessly adores Shido. The angel she manifests is Sandalphon.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation is based on the light novel series by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. As noted on the official Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation site, the game’s setting is as follows:

“Thirty years have passed since large disasters called spacequakes began to occur, which were caused by the appearance of mysterious entities known as Spirits. Shido Itsuka, an otherwise unremarkable young man, encounters a Spirit with a grudge against humanity. Shido is later told by his younger sister, Kotori, that he alone possesses the ability to seal the power of a Spirit. Shockingly, however, that ability is “date the Spirit, and make them fall in love”…?! In order to protect the world, and to save the Spirits, Shido is determined to do whatever he can. No matter the obstacle, he is ready to face the Spirits head-on!”

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation’s western release is coming to PS4 and Steam in June 2019.
