The Blacklist: Redemption takes a personal turn in “Kevin Jensen.” Kevin is a journalist in Kurkistan. He’s arrested and charged with espionage, and the Kurkistan police believe that Kevin is a deep cover CIA agent. The US government doesn’t want to go against the Kurkistan leader because he allows the US to use their airspace for safe passage. If Scottie Hargrave wants Halcyon to save Kevin, they won’t have any backup.

Scottie has a personal connection to Kevin Jensen. Kevin is an old family friend. She asks the team in and wants their help. She says that she will understand if they don’t feel like they can do this mission. After all, if they are caught in Kurkistan, no one will be able to help them. When Scottie mentions that her son, Christopher, was in the same class as Kevin, it was an easy choice for Tom. The rest soon follow, and they are off to Kurkistan.

The team comes up with a foolproof plan that of course goes horribly wrong. Tom tries to smuggle guns into the country, but he’s caught. He narrowly escapes, but now they have no weapons. They decide to spread a rumor that the prison guards are against the Kurkistan leader. This causes the leader to send in police to arrest the warden and guards.

Tom and Solomon infiltrate the prison dressed as police. Once they get inside, they go to get Jensen out. Unfortunately, they are discovered. Now it’s only a matter of time before the rest catch on to the real plan. With their getaway driver, Nez, in place, they get Jensen out safe. Now, they have to sit tight until they can figure out a way out of the country; it won’t be easy with the entire police force after them.

When the US government finds out that Halcyon sent a team in to rescue Jensen, the White House Chief of Staff calls to yell at Scotie. Scottie doesn’t back down. She says that she knows the government can’t afford to let Halcyon fail. They do too much good with little to no red tape, and at this point, they know too much. He tells her that she sounds like Howard now. It looks like she’s being treated differently than her husband, and I’m guessing it’s partially because she’s a woman.

Scottie’s right; the US government can’t allow Halcyon to fail. They decide to rescue her team along with Jensen. They just have to sit tight until nightfall. Then, they can make their way to the embassy and quietly leave Kurkistan. Everyone is happy with the plan except for Jensen. He wants to recover his laptop that he hid in his neighbor’s apartment, but that’s probably the first place the police will look. Jensen decides to sneak out and get his laptop; now, Tom, Solomon, and Nez need to rescue Jensen and get to the embassy.

Complications ensue when the police are exactly where they are expected to be, at Jensen’s apartment. Jensen recovers his laptop, and they barely make it out alive. Now, it’s a wild chase to the embassy. Nez crashes their car through a road block to get onto US soil at the embassy, but the crash along with oncoming gunfire from the Kurkistan police proves to be too much. Jensen has been hit, and he doesn’t make it out alive. Tom tries desperately to revive his classmate, but his efforts prove futile. Tom brings back Jensen’s laptop, since he knew how important it was for Jensen to get his story out there.

Naturally, the US government wants to speak with Halcyon. They thank Tom for recovering the laptop and say that it will save lives. When they are confused, it is revealed the Jensen was actually a deep cover CIA agent, one of their best. Scottie is frustrated because she worries that when the CIA poses agents as journalists, it puts the real journalists in danger. She’s thankful that she can let his family know that he died protecting people, but not so fast, no one can know that he’s a deep cover agent. Scottie keeps her promise and doesn’t tell his family. They are just grateful that Kevin died doing what he loved.

WHAT IS DUAL PIXELS?

Dual Pixels is more than just an organization, it's a culture. The interactive arts are our passion, this includes gaming and innovations brought forward with technology.
The beauty of being an independent organization is the fact that we have the opportunity to bring back the enthusiasm in a gaming industry which is becoming increasingly corporate and stale. The Dual Pixels brand is full of perspective hence the reason why we also go by the appellation "The Digital Crossover".
