While things couldn’t get any worst for gamers since the time of the initial cost of games going up to $60. Microsoft new console has been getting alot of buzz lately about no used games at all even before the systems unveil. Developers are claiming that there is a possibility , also mentioning the disc may have special watermarks on the disc to signal that the game has already been played. One of Square Enix Developers over at Eidos Games has commented in a recent interview saying “With the next Xbox, you supposedly have to have an internet connection, and the discs are watermarked, whereby once played on one console it won’t play on another. So I think the generation after that will be digital-only.â€
We can only speculate on what this all means, it’s not the first time we been hearing about rumors on what the next Xbox console will have. Also mentioned from Ubisoft and Square Enix would be that the console will always stay online. That plus “no more used games” will definitely be a huge blow to consumers if all the assumptions are considered true. Stay tuned with us here at Dual Pixels for the latest news on the new Xbox Console as it debuts in April.
