The Metal Gear Solid Series is one that has made the best use out of cardboard than in any other instance in gaming, but if you thought Snake’s box was great in previous games, wait until you see it now. Where Snake’s old box was a stealthy item at your disposal, Big Boss’ can be used for so much more. You now have the ability to dive out of the side, avoiding enemy detection or, conversely, the more heady approach of popping out the top and surprising your enemy with a bullet or two. Ok, or a tranquilizer dart if that’s your style. The box has also been upgraded to be used as a diversionary tactic. An image that looks like a soldier on the box can be held up making the enemy soldier salute, or if you prefer the more risqué approach, an image of a bikini-clad women can be shown. Of course, why wouldn’t a soldier that has been standing guard for so long go check out why a women in a bikini is standing out in the middle of nowhere? So whether you are hiding in a box or just sitting in plain site, check out the trailer below.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is due out sometime early next year on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
