Cory Barlog, the man responsible for bringing us God of War 2, what I believe to have been the best third person action game on the PS2 has just announced that the God of War Collection, which consists of God of War 1 and 2 will be released for the Playstation Vita on May 6th for $29.99. While this isn’t the first time that you could play God of War on the go as Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta were released on the PSP they didn’t capture the same epic scope that the main line console games were able to achieve. There’s no word on frame rate, or whether this is the same up-scaled version of both titles that was packaged in last year’s Collection. Â The Vita is significantly more powerful than the PS2, so here’s hoping that the technical disappointment of the Metal Gear Solid Collection on Vita won’t be repeated on these two gems which are extremely dependent on low input latency and a high refresh rate.
