In an update through the Xbox Blog, Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One will no longer require an Internet connection in order to play offline disc-based games. The blog also states that Microsoft is lifting its stance on used and traded games, saying, “it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.”
“Thank you again for your candid feedback. Our team remains committed to listening, taking feedback and delivering a great product for you later this year.”
This is a surprising update given how committed Microsoft has been to their online-centric vision. Does this change your opinion on the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments!
