Nintendo Direct was today and that’s a sign of new details. This time we get more info on Pokémon, with the first reveal bringing back something from years ago. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX has been announced for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s a full on remake. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon launched on the Nintendo DS about 15 years ago, Â now can be replayed with updated graphics. Players can download the demo of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX today and can carry over their save game data over to the retail release which launches on March 6th.
The other Pokémon News is well of course the next step into your Pokémon Journey in Sword & Shield with the announcement of the two new expansion passes called The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. Each one focusing on different aspects of the overall Pokémon experience, you can obtain new Pokémon and see new areas of the Galar region. The Isle of Armor is the First expansion which is releasing June 2020 which will focus on the theme of Growth.
The Isle of Armor is a island off shore of Galar where you will encounter Pokémon never before seen in beaches, caves, and dunes. There is a Dojo in the island that you can battle in and but you become a apprentice under the Dojo under Leon’s Mentor which is named Mustard. You encounter new rivals while taking up your apprenticeship in the Dojo. Depending on which version of the game you purchased Sword has the rival of Klara a poison type user and Shield has Avery who is a physic type user.
A new legendary Pokémon will join the battle and will be a story focus in the expansion passes called Kubfu, it is a fighting type. As you complete with your training mustard  will entrust you with this legendary Pokémon, it evolves into Urshifu. Urshifu has two distinct styles it has a single strike style which is of Fighting and dark type and a rapid strike style which is fighting and water type.
Urshifu does have a Gigantamax form and each style has a different appearance and you able to evolve the Urshifu to one of those style during your adventure. More Gigantamax forms are coming and this time to the 3 starter Pokemon final evolutions which will tout new appearances and never before seen G-max moves.
Now onto The Crown Tundra which will release Fall 2020. The Crown Tundra theme is focusing more on exploration with the never before seen Frigid area, where you will be battling through snow mountains to uncover the secrets of the mysterious wild tree growing in the middle of the snowy area. You will be introduced to another Legendary Pokémon Calyrex which is a Psychic Grass type. The Crown Tundra Expansion will have a new form of co-op plait will allow you and your friends to explore Pokémon dens which will have legendary Pokémon from previous Pokémon games which you will be able to catch.
Last but not least both The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra will have much more customization options including new clothing, hairstyles, and much more to keep you unique as you play in these unexplored areas. Players will also notice that the new expansion areas will be just like the Wild areas which give you full control over the camera.
And the last surprise is that all the Pokémon can be traded to players who don’t have the expansion pass, as Game Freak is adding over 200 Pokémon from previous titles back into the Galar region. And players can bring over their Pokémon from the cloud service Pokémon Home which is launching this February. The free update which is out today gives you the first new Pokémon Slowpoke in Galar form which later can be evolved into Galerion Slowking. How much is this going to cost you say?
