Lucifer is completely out of sorts this week in “Manly Whatnots.” This week, he can finally use his connections for good. Chloe can’t seem to get away from Lucifer, and this episode she gets out of the shower to find Lucifer cooking breakfast in her kitchen. She’s extremely annoyed that he would just invite himself inside. Her daughter, Trixie, and ex husband, Dan, come in and catch Lucifer helping himself to her kitchen. Trixie asks if they had a sleepover; gotta love how perceptive children are. But, Chloe just continues to get everyone out of her house.

Lucifer is stunned because for the second time, he’s been thrown out of a woman’s house. He just can’t shake the fact that Chloe is impervious to his charms. He of course goes directly to see his therapist, Linda. She does have other clients, and Lucifer ends up crashing one of her sessions. Oops. Linda says that Lucifer needs to find a way to take back his control. He interprets this as Linda saying that he needs to sleep with Chloe; then, he won’t be so mystified by her.

Meanwhile, Chloe gets handed a new case. A young woman, Lindsay, disappeared after working at an exclusive party for players. Yes you heard that right; a man decided to teach other men how to be players and charge them for it. Lucifer gets them into the seminar, but he can’t resist the opportunity to ask the “mastermind,” Carver Cruz, why Chloe won’t sleep with him. Lucifer says that he has all of Carver’s manly whatnots, but he still can’t bed her.

Now, Lucifer has blown their cover, and they need to find a way to talk with Carver at the afterparty. At the party, Carver spots them again and runs. When they catch up to him, he says that now, they will kill Lindsay. Carver reveals that kidnappers have taken Lindsay and are demanding ransom. Lucifer and Chloe crash the ransom and find Lindsay and her brother are behind the entire thing.

Lindsay kidnapped herself because Carver slept with her years ago and used their story for his book. Carver thought he was in love with her, but she was only using him. Lucifer tries to reason with Lindsay and her brother who still want to hurt Carver. Lucifer doesn’t understand if Carver changed why she is still punishing him. Lucifer asks, “why do humans think they can rectify one evil with another?” Lucifer and Chloe defuse the situation, and all is right again.

Sadly, we only got a small scene with Amenadiel. This time, he came down to Earth to instead reason with Mazikeen. He wants her help to get Lucifer back to hell. They start to fight, and Amenadiel feels bad when he hurts Mazikeen, but of course, she loves pain. She is a demon after all. Amenadiel says that they both know something has fundamentally changed in Lucifer. He asks, “Aren’t you the least bit concerned?” Mazikeen claims that it’s a phase, and it will pass. I’m not convinced on that one, but only time will tell.

Well, Lucifer did it this time. He keeps trying to convince Chloe that he’s the devil, but she just won’t believe it. Lucifer somehow annoys Chloe enough that she shoots him in the leg. At first, he just smiles, but when he reaches down, there’s blood. He starts feeling pain and is completely baffled. He can’t figure out why he is feeling pain and bleeding. Chloe is more certain than ever that Lucifer can’t be the devil, and she is horrified that she shot him in the leg even if it was just a graze. So what’s going on with Lucifer? Is he becoming human? What does this mean for his time here in Los Angeles?
