There is just something that attracts me to games (or any other art form for that matter) that feature interaction within a 2-D space. Potion Craft, as the name suggests, has you step into the role as an alchemist where you have to conjure potions for the town after a wizard abandoned his cottage. Not only do you create the potions, but you are also tasked with managing and selling them at your store for the village.
The combination of store management mixed with the harvesting of herbs and conjuring of potions seems like a solid structure for Potion Craft. It’s art style seems to further envelop you into the wizarding world of… potion craft.
The art style, which is quite unique from what you typically see, has a neat story behind it. Per the devs fact sheet, the “unique visuals inspired by medieval manuscripts and medical texts. Dive into an authentic medieval atmosphere created by carefully crafted characters, interiors, and a relaxing soundtrack.”
Check out the trailer that gives a look at all aspects of the game. Also, be sure to download the Demo during Steam Game Festival starting from Feb. 3 to Feb. 9.
