A special edition Pokémon New 3DS bundle is making its way to North America. The bundle includes the recently announced Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red and Blue as well as faceplates with artwork from the original Game Boy releases. Unfortunately the bundle won’t include Pokémon Yellow, but that version should still be available when the VC releases of the original Pokémon games hit the eShop.  Note that this NOT the XL version of the new 3DS system, but rather the “normal” version. The bundle is out on February 27th.
The bundle is just the tip of the iceberg as 2016 is the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. The Pokémon company promises to celebrate this milestone with a year of surprises.
