Wharfedale, a British audio manufacturer, has introduced its first Bluetooth enabled speaker, Cobalt. Cobalt gets rid of the tedious docks smartphone docks bundled into some manufacturer’s speakers but gets us right into the music thanks to Bluetooth technology. Convenience is key here; Cobalt is embodied by a glossy piano black 15″ wide by 6 3/4″ high and 7 1/4″ deep enclosure that is the first of its kind from Wharfedale featuring bluetooth connectivity supporting iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android devices.
The stereo audio Cobalt speaker features Sonic Clarity with its dual 4-inch full-range drivers and Bass Flow Port and 30-watt RMS amplifier. Non-Bluetooth device users don’t fret, Wharfedale does also include a 1/8-inch (3.5mm) Aux jack for even more devices to take advantage of these speakers.
“In introducing the Cobalt we knew we couldn’t introduce just another ‘me too’ wireless powered speaker,†said Walter Schofield, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Cobalt lets listeners enjoy music from their favorite portable devices with complete convenience and outstanding sound quality that lives up to the heritage of the Wharfedale name.â€
The Wharfedale Cobalt Wireless Bluetooth Loudspeaker is now available for $399.
