The devil is back, and he’s trying to be a better person. The problem: his sinful ways just keep come knocking on his door. “Stewardess Interruptus†starts where we left off with Chloe and Lucifer sharing a moment. They are just so close to sharing their first kiss when in walks a frequent slumber party guest of Lucifer’s. Needless to say, the moment was over before it ever really began.
Unfortunately that flight attendant was found murdered, and Lucifer and Chloe are on the case. When a second victim is found murdered, it seems that Lucifer is the only connection. Both of the victims were former lovers of Lucifer. This could be a case of jealousy, so they decide to speak with all of his lovers to see if anyone was jealous enough to kill. Of course, Lucifer thinks that hearing praise from his exes will prove his worth to Chloe.
Chloe sits down with the lovers and hears essentially the same story. They all say that it was the best night of their lives, but they had no emotional connection to Lucifer. They all had fun but knew it was only about sex. They all explain that it was completely meaningless. It’s clear that none of them cared enough about Lucifer to murder. The good news is that the lovers all pointed to the same witness, a woman who has been stalking Lucifer.

The stalker ends up not being connected to the case, but she does have information vital to the case. Ironically, the stalker was the one woman who hasn’t slept with Lucifer but still worships him. She said that Lucifer is like porn, stuffed crust pizza, and a Hello Kitty blanket all rolled into one. Her information led them to the real reason behind the murders, a drug smuggling ring. As flight attendants for private jets, the victims had easier access and less scrutiny than on commercial flights. Chloe decides to enlist Maze’s help to go undercover as the latest flight attendant. Maze was having so much fun going undercover. Unfortunately, the package ended up being vials of something that might be more dangerous than drugs. Could it be a bioweapon? The bad guys got away this time, so it looks like we will have to wait and see on that one.
Maze was easily the best character of this episode. She’s so proud of her involvement in the death of the man who killed Chloe’s father. Maze and Dan orchestrated his murder after sharing with the Russians that he had one of their own killed. Maze is looking for a little bit of gratitude, but Chloe didn’t ask for Perry to die. She said that whoever killed Perry is no better than he was.

Well where do you go when you’re feeling underappreciated? To see your shrink of course. Maze interrupts Linda’s lunch break for a free therapy session. Ironically, Linda tells Maze that she is more human than a lot of people. Maze tells her, “Take that back.†Maze is trying to see her self worth, so she ends up telling everyone that she’s awesome. She’s learning to accept herself for who she is.
Just as I thought Chloe would never think of Lucifer as anything more than a friend, she surprises me. Charlotte and Amenadiel are anxious to get back to Heaven, and they know that Chloe is their ticket. Charlotte works to push Chloe and Lucifer together. She goes to talk to Chloe and explains that Lucifer is different with her. Charlotte tells her that Lucifer deserves a woman like her in his life.
Meanwhile, Lucifer asks Amenadiel if he’s boyfriend material. It’s almost laughable, but Amenadiel just explains that he doesn’t get emotionally attached to anyone. He needs to ask himself if he’s a worthy partner. This makes Lucifer realize that Chloe deserves someone worthy of her, and it isn’t him. Chloe tells him that she never said that, but Lucifer knows. He’s saying it. He tells her that she’s selfless and deserves someone worthy of that grace. Chloe tells him that he’s probably right, but she kisses him anyway. It should be interesting to see where they go from here.
