The end is nigh with the season finale of Lucifer. After Chet stabbed Charlotte in the previous episode, her time on Earth is limited. Now that Amenadiel has the final piece of the sword, they can finally enact their plan. But with everyone having different ideas of what that plan is, things can only take a turn for the worse.

Charlotte decides to staple her wound shut because what else would one do with a stab wound? She decides to go see the only doctor she knows, Linda. Linda is frustrated that everyone keeps coming to her for medical issues. She duct tapes Charlotte’s wound and sends her on her way.

Amenadiel is still working things out after finding out that he was entrusted with the final piece of the sword. He’s only focused on being the favorite son, but Charlotte and Lucifer are ready to get their plans started. Amenadiel wants to process everything, and both brothers still have no idea that their mother is a ticking time bomb. So Amenadiel decides to try Dan’s improv class. He’s not very good at it to say the least. With how heavy this episode was, this was the much needed humor that made me laugh out loud.

Chloe and Lucifer are on the case when Chet’s body was dumped. It looks a professional dumped the body and cleaned it with bleach, but Lucifer knows that with Chloe on the case it’s only a matter of time before the case leads her straight to Charlotte. Lucifer even tries to sabotage some of Ella’s evidence, but she knows her own clumsiness and always has backups in place. Then, Lucifer even gives Ella a new idea to get a new lead on the case. So much for keeping Chloe away from Charlotte.

With time running out, Charlotte realizes that her plan may not be in line with her sons. She goes to see the only person who will have the answers. When Linda asked Charlotte if Lucifer was the one who stabbed her, Charlotte knows that her son may not have been forthcoming. She tells Linda that they can either talk over a bottle of wine, or it can be much more painful.

It’s all about to come to a head. Chloe has realized that Charlotte is the killer. Charlotte goes to Santa Monica Pier where there are lots of people around. Lucifer gathers all of the pieces of the sword to bargain with his mother, and hopefully she won’t kill anyone. Charlotte and Chloe talk, and Charlotte is legitimately surprised that one of the women from the cleaning service she used to get rid of Chet’s body was murdered. It looks like there’s a new player here. Chet’s brother is responsible for the second charred body, and he’s here to kill Charlotte for taking his brother’s life. Unfortunately, if he does this, they will all die from the goddess’s light.

Amenadiel and Maze go to see Linda, and they find her bloodied and broken on the floor. She won’t make it to a hospital in time, so now what? Maze cries for Amenadiel to do something, and he summons all of his strength. Amenadiel is able to slow time, and both he and Lucifer take advantage of the extra time. Maze and Amenadiel get Linda to a hospital and save her life. Lucifer uses the time to finish things with his mother, once and for all. He completes the sword and shows her a third option. Lucifer slices through the air and creates a sort of portal. Lucifer tells Charlotte that she can go to a new world, one that she can create. He reminds his mother that if they go back to heaven, there will only be war. This way, no one will get hurt. Charlotte understands his intentions and goes through the portal.

Lucifer visits Linda in the hospital and feels guilty for bringing her into his world. Linda tells Lucifer that she walked in with her eyes open. She had no misconceptions of what she was getting herself into. She chose to be his friend. This pep talk gives Lucifer a newfound confidence. He’s ready to tell Chloe the truth and let her all the way in. He wants to show her the real him. But, it looks like he won’t get to, at least not yet. Lucifer is knocked out and left for dead in the middle of the desert. Lucifer wakes up and realizes that he can spread his wings; yes Lucifer’s wings are back. But, why? What happened?

WHAT IS DUAL PIXELS?

Dual Pixels is more than just an organization, it's a culture. The interactive arts are our passion, this includes gaming and innovations brought forward with technology. The beauty of being an independent organization is the fact that we have the opportunity to bring back the enthusiasm in a gaming industry which is becoming increasingly corporate and stale. The Dual Pixels brand is full of perspective hence the reason why we also go by the appellation "The Digital Crossover".
