WB’s upcoming free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First games, MultiVersus, is entering open beta July 26. If you were fortunate enough to be invited to any of the previous tests, you will have early access to the beta on July 19. Both phases will include PS 4/5, Xbox One, XBOX X/S and PC with cross-play.
Since MultiVersus is a free-to-play title, and all progression (player progression and character unlocks) will carry forward to its final release, this feels really close to a soft launch of the game in a sense. We don’t have a great idea as to how long the open beta will be accessible for. It might be more like the first Overwatch and roll from open beta to full release, or there might be a gap from the end of the open beta to the official release.
As if we didn’t get enough info for MultiVersus on a random Thursday, they also revealed a gameplay trailer that includes Iron Giant. He was the only character in the trailer that wasn’t playable in a previous test. Check that out below.
If you want to try to get early access to the MultiVersus beta and didn’t already paly in a previous test, check out their official site to register.
