Double-dipping on games comes at a cost, obviously the price of the game being one, but what about all your progress and exclusive pre-order incentives for the previous years’ game? In most cases, early adopters simply get the ability to play the game before their counterparts on the current hardware before a price drop, but the guys over at Rockstar are doing much more for those returning to the next gen Los Santos.
So, those returning from playing last gen Grand Theft Auto V will have a slew of activities, rewards, new stock car races (which allow you to earn unique custom muscle cars) and new outfits. The most interesting bonus is the new murder mystery mission that allows you to unlock filters that make the game have that old school gritty crime feel.
While bonuses are nice; being able to carry over your pre-order incentives from the previous gen, having the ability to pick up right where you left off and not being tied to the same platform, provided you have a Rockstar Social account, are the real nice touches added to the updated game. From my understanding though, this is only for the online portion of the game. There’s no better time to jump into the world of GTAV.

Grand Theft Auto V will release on November 18, 2014 for PS4 and Xbox One and is coming to PC on January 27, 2015.
Wait so will this work if I had the game on the 360 and upgrade to ps4 version?
For the online portion, yes. here’s a link from their site: “And as previously announced, current GTA Online players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to pick up where they left off, transferring their characters and progression seamlessly to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC (Social Club membership required).”
I saw that part, I was referring more to Michael mission, it’s not very clear on that part unless it’s included on disc.
