Razer showed off some new tech at the Consumer Electronics Show today, including a powerful laptop, a fully featured digital watch, and a webcam for streamers in mind.
The Nabu Watch, while sharing a name with it’s “cousins” Nabu and Nabu X, is more in line with a traditional digital watch, but with a few extra features for modern users. Razer focused on the watch’s battery by moving some features to the timepiece’s secondary screen. The top screen is an illuminated backlit display that touts a countdown time, stopwatch, World time clocks, and alarms. The secondary screen will show users phone notifications, and fitness tracking. The Nabu Watch will also sync with a user’s phone to make sure the clock is always up-to-date.
The Nabu Watch will be available later this month and retail for $149.99. There will also be a Forged Edition that will only be available through official Razer channels and will retail for $199.99. For more detail, check out the official page.
The Stargazer is Razer’s foray into the webcam market. Not content with being a mere webcam, the Stargazer includes a ton of features for both streamers and other webcam users. Dynamic Background Removal users the camera’s ability to differentiate depth and can remove the background from a video without the use of a green screen setup. Facial and gesture recognition are impressive with 78 points on the face and 22 points on each hand that can be tracked by the Stargazer. Of course, the camera will also be able to record at 720p at 60 frames-per-second, or at 1080p at 30 frames-per-second.Â
The Stargazer will be released in Q2 2016 and will be priced at $199.99. You can check the webcam’s specs on the official page.
